The 6th Siriraj-Varian IGABT School was successfully held at Siriraj Hospital from May 30 to 31, 2025. This two-day specialized training brought together physicians, nurses, medical physicists, and radiologic technologists from leading institutions such as Batangas Medical Center, Calamba Medical Center, Central Luzon Doctors’ Hospital, Global Cancer Center, BAC, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, Maui Memorial Medical Center, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Philippine General Hospital, Rizal Medical Center, Sacred Heart Medical Center, Southern Philippines Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center, and The Medical City Ortigas. Their shared goal was to enhance cancer care through advanced technology and collaborative learning.
The course focused on image-guided adaptive brachytherapy (IGABT), offering expert lectures, hands-on workshops, and case discussions. Participants deepened their knowledge in 3D image-guided techniques, treatment planning, and international brachytherapy standards. This initiative reflects Siriraj Hospital’s commitment to improving cancer treatment, fostering professional growth, and building a strong oncology network.
